Hood Engineering & Agri Parts is a family run business which is based outside Newtownstewart, Co Tyrone. Our business was established in 2006 and was founded by Anthony Hood, now assisted by his son Jack. Anthony has over 30 years experience in the agricultural engineering industry \u2013 and was a self employed agricultural contractor prior to starting Hood Engineering and Agri Parts. Here at Hood Engineering we stock a range of tractor and machinery parts in store and online via our eBay store including filters, belts, bearings, oil seals, nuts and bolts, hydraulic pipes and fittings, PTO shafts, oils and lubricants. We also provide a hydraulic hose repair service. Alongside parts, we service and repair tractors and farm machinery and we also carry out engineering and steel\u00a0 fabrication work. Since starting the business we have invested in a range of machinery to help us carry out a range of work to suit our customers needs. Our equipment includes a steelworker, guillotine, welders, press brakes and a CNC plasma cutter.<\/p>

We manufacture our own range of farming equipment (e.g. Q hitches, bale shears, tipping trailers, bale spikes, land levellers, buckrakes, buckets, etc). Over a number of years we have designed, developed and tested a new implement, which we have named the Q hitch.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

As a result of growing demand we have carried out a number of tractor and machinery restoration projects. These have ranged from a basic tidy up to a full nuts and bolts rebuild. Tractors we have worked on have included Massey Ferguson 35, 135, 165, 185 and 699, also Ford 4000, 4600, 6600,\u00a0\u00a0 Fiat 880, 88-94, 100-90 and 110-90 and David Brown 880, 990, 1390, 1594 and 1690. We have carried out restoration work to tipping and silage trailers which consisted of fitting new body to make trailer as good as new.<\/p>
